NORA MARIE ISADORE
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our eldest sister, Nora Marie Isadore, age 70 of Wagmatcook First Nation on March 11, 2017 at her home. Born in 1946 in Wagmatcook she was the daughter of late Francis Googoo and Mary Virginia Muise. Nora was an amazing person, who loved flowers, her many friends and all her pets, including Rocky, an African Grey Parrot that called her mom. After the passing of our parents, Nora assumed the role of the matron in our family, she radiated kindness, understanding and great wit. Before the onset of her illness she loved gardening, baking and knitting. Nora had severe arthritis but would never think of herself as handicapped and managed to live an independent life, never complaining of the pain she endured both physically and emotionally. Nora is survived by her son, Thomas Russell Rudderham, Ontario; her sisters, Nancy Macdonald, Igloolik Nunavut and Mary-Louise Bernard, Wagmatcook; nieces, Natasha Jamieson, Lawrencetown NS, Ashley and Michelle Bernard of Wagmatcook; nephew, Jason Macdonald, Orangedale, NS; her cousins that were like sisters, Sophie Pierro and Fannie MacDonald; godchildren; Janet Marie Bernard, Morgan Isadore, and Colton Isadore. Nora was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Brenda Marie and her nephew, Jonathan Francis.
Visitation for Nora Isadore will begin on Saturday, March 18 at 2 p.m. at the 57 B Fishery Road at the Elder Center in Wagmatcook.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 20 at 11 a.m. at Saint Kateri Takakwitha Parish, Wagmatcook, with Fr. Paul Abbass officiating. Burial will take place at the Wagmatcook Cemetery.
